About

My love of poetry began in kindergarten where I copied out and illustrated poems of Myra Cohn Livingston and Aileen Fisher. I follow the practice of copying out poems I love into a commonplace book even today. My poetry practice also includes writing a daily or dithyramb to jumpstart my ideas. You can see some examples on my poetry pages.

I live with my husband, our Brittany, and my grandchildren’s chickens in the Fingerlakes region of central New York, US.  Hiking waterfalls at home and in the Adirondacks is one of my favorite things to do.  Along with writing—quilting, crocheting, baking, and playing with my grandchildren bring me joy.
